MINISTRY

David received a burden for Moldova as he visited the country twice on his summer breaks during college. In the fall of 2003, Stephanie visited Moldova for six-weeks also, to catch the burden of which David had spoken so much.  In the summer of 2006, after being married almost two years, they both went back to Moldova for 9 weeks as a family to solidify their calling to that country.  In Moldova they worked under friend and veteran missionary Dr. Eric Chapman. He and his family have been in Moldova since 1993.  God has used him to plant 11 churches, start 2 Christian camps, and pioneer mission work with Romanian and Moldovan nationals in Malawi, Africa.  They plan to work with Dr. Eric Chapman again when they return to Moldova full-time. As his helpers, they will participate in the various ministries that he oversees.

The need for more Moldovan pastors and churches continues to grow. While some churches are seeing people saved, baptized, and added to the church, many are fading away. Families and even entire churches continue to immigrate to Western Europe and America to escape the economic hardships in Moldova. The country not only needs churches planted in villages that have never had a true Bible-believing church, but now dark villages need a new candle lit where a light once shined brightly. David and his wife believe God is calling them to return to Moldova as full-time missionaries to work with the Chapmans in establishing a missionary institute. They will train national pastors and missionaries in the missionary institute and then work alongside of them in planting churches in Moldova and other countries. The church plants will begin with their own national pastor, and the pastor will see firsthand how to plant churches in order to copy it himself.
